Ian cathro Valencia assistant coach part ways with the La Liga side - with rumours that he might be moving to Rangers.
Casthro 28 is seen as one of Europe's most promising coaches and has now returned to Dundee after quiting his position at the club for some reason believed to be family issue.
Two years were spent by him working with Portuguese coach Nunoat Rio Ave before he followed him down to Spain last summer and cooperate efforts, they both led Valencia to fourth place behind Atletico Madrid in La Liga.
Casthro who was formally Dundee United youth coach has long been expected to later make a move to Ibrox and now he has been installed as one of the favourite to take over at Rangers, aside Mark Warburton who was the former Brentford boss.
Cathro said: "I would like to thank Nuno Espirito Santo for the opportunity to work with him in the top leagues in Portugal and Spain."It has been a unique and hugely rewarding experience for an ambitious Scottish coach."I wish Valencia the success they deserve. I had an amazing time with a great club in a fantastic city."This was a very difficult decision to take and was agreed some time ago."
