The Catalan giants got a first-hand look at the French midfielder last weekend when they defeated Juventus 3-1 in the Champions League final. And they were impressed by what they saw, as club president Josep Maria Bartomeu has confirmed that they plan to bid for the 22-year-old.“Pogba is a great player and it’s true he is one of our objectives,” Bartomeu told Telefoot.“Obviously we are interested in Pogba, but I cannot say any more than that. We cannot sign anybody before January, so I can’t say more.” The Catalan giant will face competition from a host of clubs if they do attempt a move for the juventus ace Pogba.
Arsenal, Chelsea, Manchester United, Real Madrid and PSG have all been linked with the player, and the Pogba's agent has said he will be sold to the highest bidder.
The Serie A side Juventus are reportedly looking for a fee in the region of £60m, but that price could be inflated further if a number of clubs are drawn into a serious bidding conflict.
