AS Monaco midfielder Geoffrey Kondogbia has been linked with moves to premieleague side Arsenal,(per Metro), and Manchester City,as (per Goal), in past weeks but now, there may be competition from Serie A teams for his signature.According to La Gazzetta dello Sport, AC Milan were reportedly closing in on an £18m move for the 22-year-old, but rivals Inter are now in the race after they upped their offer to £20 million. The report also suggests that Monaco have set a £25million price tag, which could be too much for the Nerazzurri to compete with if this turns into a bidding war.Monaco signed Kondogbia from La Liga side Sevilla in 2013 on a five-year contract. In his first season back in France, the 22-year-old helped his side secure Champions League qualification for the first time in a decade.
Shortly before returning to France at club level, Kondogbia was awarded his debut for the international first team, playing 63 minutes in a 0-0 friendly draw versus Belgium. If Kondogbia decides to move to Serie A it would mean another potential target being crossed off Arsene Wenger’s list this summer.
